Company update, Family Fund Business Services
Family Fund Business Services (FFBS) has once again been included in the Leeds City Region’s Digital Enterprise Top 100, a list that profiles and celebrates the region’s most digitally innovative businesses.
The accolade is given to companies that use digital technologies in the most original and transformational ways. Being recognised for the second year running demonstrates our continued commitment to innovation and value for our customers.
Delivering during changeable times
Our inclusion recognises the agility with which we have adapted to the challenges of the last year. In 2021 we helped our customers navigate issues that had arisen due to the impact of lockdown. When non-essential shops were closed, we were able to easily offer alternative solutions via our online Portal. For example, we offered customers digital supermarket vouchers instead of the clothing vouchers they would usually order with little to no change to their existing processes, allowing the end-beneficiary to still acquire much-needed new clothes.
When we received news of the energy crisis, we quickly responded by informing our customers of our ability to supply them with digital energy vouchers to support their communities with their energy bills. We were also the first procurement partner to provide Sainsbury’s new Grocery eGift card, enabling clients to provide their beneficiaries with essential food and toiletries shopping with a locked-down eGift card which ensures that the recipient uses the award on the items it is intended for.
By expanding our offering while maintaining our end-to-end fulfilment capabilities, we continued to provide significant value for customers, saving them time and money and helping them to efficiently help others.
Our web-based online ordering Portal for the fulfilment of essential goods and services is another example of the way we use technology to set us apart in our sector.
The service is fast, efficient and provides tangible value for money, ensuring funds are maximised to benefit more beneficiaries. Customers can log in to the portal from any location 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to place an order. The portal is a one-stop-shop where customers can access goods and services from multiple different suppliers in one place, delivering varied support to those in need.
