Company update, Family Fund Business Services
Family Fund Business Services (FFBS) has been featured in the York Top 100 Businesses list for 2023. This is the fifth time FFBS has made the list created by York St John University in collaboration with The Press and Make it York. Ranked 62nd this year, we have seen a great improvement since the list was first produced in 2017, where we entered at 100th place.
Independently ranked
The non-weighted algorithm used to produce the list was developed by independent researchers in the Business School at York St John University. Using public accounts submitted to Companies House, they analyse over 11,000 businesses ranking turnover, balance sheet, profit levels, growth-rate, and staff turnover to produce an independent list of the top 100 businesses in York.

This year’s list was revealed at an exclusive networking event hosted by York St John university, where representatives from Top 100 businesses heard an inspirational talk from former England international rugby player, Tony Underwood. In his talk, focused on leadership, Tony emphasised the importance of ‘Performance through purpose’ where he proposed that people perform best when driven by a purpose they feel passionate about.
FFBS colleagues are united by our common purpose of delivering social value as 100% of profits generated are gifted to Family Fund. We strive to not only deliver social value within our own organisation, but to help grant-giving organisations to support people in need through distributing support to their beneficiaries on a daily basis.
