Who Can Be a Support Professional?
Support professionals come from a wide range of services. They might work in:
- Advice services
- Charities, community groups, or grass‑roots organisations
- Schools, colleges, or early years settings
- Local authority services
- Housing providers
- Health or wellbeing services
Support services can offer clear information and practical help with things like managing money, understanding benefits, finding safe housing, getting support for your mental health, or help with everyday challenges at home.
We know some people feel unsure about talking about their situation, and you can choose what you share and when. By linking with support services, you can access help that may reduce pressure at home and support your child’s wellbeing.
Our role is to make sure you are connected to the right support outside of the application process, so your wider needs can be understood and addressed in a way that works for you.
