Who can register as a referrer?
If you work for an organisation that supports children, young people, or families, and you can assess their needs, you can apply to become a registered referrer.
Your organisation must also be able to:
- Administer the grant, and
- Support and supervise how the grant is used

Before registering, make sure you read our Referrer Guidelines to learn more about who is eligible and what support you can apply for.

Post‑Award responsibilities for referrers
If an award is granted, you may be contacted by our audit team. Referrers are responsible for the following:
BACS or Voucher Awards
- Collecting itemised receipts for all purchases (copies/photos accepted)
- Keeping receipts on file for 12 months
- Ensuring beneficiaries understand receipts are required before any spending takes place
Failure to provide receipts when requested may affect future access to the programme.
Direct Delivery Items
- Confirming that items have arrived with the beneficiary
- Keeping a record of this confirmation
If you would like to send receipts to us before we request them please send in an email, with the application reference number, to cinaudit@familyfund.org.uk
