Referrer Registration

BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme is a referrer only scheme and applications can only be made by an approved referrer.

If you work for an organisation that supports families, children and young people and are capable of assessing their needs, you can register to become a referrer before you making an application.

Your organisation should also be able to administer and supervise the grant on our behalf.

Family Fund Business Services has to work within specific criteria whilst aiming to provide a flexible grant programme to assist those most in need. Please read our guidelines before making a registration application.

Programme reach – new tiered organisational strategy

Before you register, please be aware there is now a tiered organisational strategy in place, to help us balance our reach and improve access routes into the programme for community-based and grassroots organisations and we will, at times, need to pause registrations in some areas. For example, if any one organisation-type dominates the network of referrers, and holds over 40% of the network split

As usual, we are aiming to achieve programme longevity and reach underrepresented areas across the UK. Now, more than ever, we need your support to ensure every other avenue of support has been explored before trying to access this programme.

Each region or nation has a new tier allocation, which may be subject to change as the current funding year progresses. We recommend checking our guidance document here for any changes throughout the year, before you make an application

Thank you for your understanding, to help us reach more people in most urgent need
