The UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme supports employers to create inclusive workplaces where disabled people and those with long-term health conditions, can thrive.
We’re proud to announce we’ve been awarded Disability Confident Leadership status. This shows that Family Fund Group is not only committed to being an accessible and supportive place to work but is actively championing disability inclusion across our sector, and beyond.
What does Disability Confident Leader mean?
We’ve been a recognised Disability Confident Employer for several years. As part of this we had already committed to challenging attitudes, removing barriers and supporting disabled people to fulfil their potential within our organisation. This means we communicate in accessible ways, make our recruitment processes accessible, and make reasonable adjustments to help disabled employees, or those with a health condition, stay in work.
As a Disability Confident Leader, our responsibility is bigger than just our organisati

Why pursue Disability Confident status?
Being a Disability Confident Leader is good for both staff and the business. By being disability confident, we can recruit, retain and develop disabled people with a diverse range of talents who will help our business to succeed. The Disability Confident badge will also show disabled people that we recognise the value they can bring to our business – putting us ahead in the search for talent. This helps us to better serve the families we support and boosts our ongoing commitment to reduce the disability employment gap.
We encourage other organisations to explore the Disability Confident scheme and consider how they too can foster a more inclusive working environment. Together we can help break down barriers and create more opportunities for disabled people.
We will promote our Disability Confident Leader badge loudly and proudly. It's so important for families, staff, funders and supporters to see how inclusion, diversity and representation drive our work.
